Low Angles in Unrushed Time
Low Angles in Unrushed Time (5:30, 2005) A journey through the banalities of the everyday existence of a cat, from his point of view. Thanks to Mr. Petersen.
Thanks! The low angle shots were made by craning my back and bending over with the camera, so it was situated alongside my cat. Essentially, I was a human crane, and I could only guestimate what the lens was seeing.
And you're right, there is intentional ghosting, achieved by creating three layers of video in Final Cut Pro and offsetting each layer by a few frames from the original. I was hoping to suggest something like the visual experience of a cat.
I would like to publish a link to your video on my video product blog at http://blogs.chron.com/makingmovies. But please don't get upset if I offer some constructive criticism. ;-)

I like the video. How did you shoot the low-angle shots?
Also, I notice some ghosting here an there; is that intentional, or some side effect of the production process?
